Lois Ilene Hoffman, 85, died February 28, 2011 at Santa Fe Nursing Home, Weatherford, Texas. She was born July 11, 1925 at Norton, Kansas, the daughter of Lovell Dodd and Pansy (Montgomery) Clinton. She married George W. Hoffman August 15, 1945 at Hoisington, Kansas. He died June 1, 1986. A former longtime Hoisington resident, Mrs. Hoffman was a retired nurse aide, working for Clara Barton Hospital for more than thirty years. Survivors include one son, Darel Hoffman and wife Yvonne, Crowley, Texas; one daughter, Judy Schugart and husband Garland, Weatherford, Texas; one sister, Althea Parks, Chanute, Kansas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Clinton. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2011 at Hoisington Cemetery. The Reverend William F. Johnson will officiate. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to service time Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Clara Barton Hospital or Mission Hospice, Cleburne, Texas, in care of the funeral home.
