Linda K. Saenz, 58, died March 31, 2011 at her Great Bend, Kansas, residence. She was born February 5, 1953 at Great Bend, the daughter of Dale M. and Rita (Spencer) Farthing. She married Michael Joe Saenz August 19, 1998 at Las Vegas, Nevada. A lifetime Great Bend resident, she worked for the Barton County Register of Deeds Office and formerly for Natural Gas Pipeline, Acme Tool, and Fuller Brush. She enjoyed all her family and attending their many activities. Survivors include her husband, Michael Joe Saenz, of the home; two sons: David Blessing and wife Alana, Great Bend; and Luke Saenz and wife Lisa, Wichita, Kansas; one daughter, Michelle Smith and husband Jeff, Lawrence, Kansas; three brothers: Gary M. Farthing and wife Fe, Oakland, California; Bill D. Farthing and wife Delores, Hays, Kansas; and James A. Farthing and wife Linda, Great Bend; one sister, Susan D. Brown and husband John, Woodward, Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren: Kalyn, Brock, Kyndall, Flora, Layla, Madden, and Liam. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother, David Farthing. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Tom Sheldon officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the CKMC Foundation to benefit the Heartland Cancer Center, in care of the funeral home.
