Lillian Marie Stremel, 81, died March 29, 2011 at Rush County Nursing Home, LaCrosse, Kansas. She was born May 1, 1929 at Munjor, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph J. and Agnus (Schreibvogel) Pfannenstiel. She married Edwin August Eddie Stremel August 16, 1948 at Munjor. He died March 31, 2000. A lifetime Barton and Rush County resident, Mrs. Stremel was a homemaker. Mrs. Stremel was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was an avid bowler. Survivors include two sons: Nick Stremel and wife Marie, Albert, Kansas; and Sam Stremel and wife Rhonda, Great Bend; three daughters: Margie Linsner and husband Bob, Wichita, Kansas; Patti Denson, Bangor, Pennsylvania; and Vicki Gregory and husband Terry, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one brother: Frank Pfannenstiel and wife Jeanie, Canadian, Texas; one sister: Johanna Befort, Enid, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nick Pfannenstiel, Richard Pfannenstiel, and Justin Pfannenstiel; and four sisters, Lydwina Copp, Armella Dougherty, Virginia Rome, and Blanche Pfannenstiel. Altar Society Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m., and a Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011, both at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Reginald A. Urban will be celebrant. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home.
