Leonard E. Miller, Jr., 61, died July 8, 2012 at his home in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born December 12, 1950 at Great Bend, the son of Leonard Jean and Edna (Kathman) Miller. A lifetime Great Bend resident, he was a siding installer for Southard Corporation, worked at EQ Muffler, and was a handyman for Joe Mayers. Survivors include his father, Leonard J. Miller, Great Bend; his mother, Edna Schneweis, Great Bend; three brothers: Kenny Miller and his wife Harlene, Great Bend; Curtis Miller and his wife Linda, Salina; and James Miller, Great Bend; three sisters: Judy Blanchard and her husband Larry, Kansas City, Missouri; Mary Ramsey and her husband Mike, Lyons, Kansas; and Sharon Miller and her husband Jeff, Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Richard Schneweis; and one sister, Annette Pellett. Vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend. Father Anthony Columba Ekanem will be celebrant. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the Leonard E. Miller, Jr. Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
