Leon Rudolph Deines, 85, died February 6, 2010 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born December 24, 1924 at Russell County, Kansas, the son of Rudolph and Anna (Karst) Deines. Mr. Deines was an auto parts clerk, retiring from Big A Automotive. Following his retirement, he was apartment manager for Cherry Village and sacked groceries for Food-4-Less. He was a Great Bend resident for twenty-three years, coming from Chillicothe, Missouri. Mr. Deines was a member of the First Christian Church, Great Bend. Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Borron and husband Leroy, Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and three nieces and one nephew and their families. There will be no services. The body was donated for research. Memorials are to the charity of the donor's choice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
