Lavella Marie Laughlin, 78, died February 14, 2008 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born November 14, 1929 at Beaver, Kansas, the daughter of Valentine and Anna Feltes Kramer. She married Cloyde Orrin Laughlin January 29, 1949 at Great Bend, Kansas. He died October 1, 2004. Mrs. Laughlin, a Great Bend resident since 1939, was a homemaker and worked as a circulation secretary for the Great Bend Public Library. Surviving Mrs. Laughlin include two daughters, Patria Johnson, Great Bend, Kansas, and Susan Gray and husband, Gary K., Radium, Kansas; three sisters, Susie Ward, Eleanor Wilkinson, and Elizabeth Nightengale, all of Great Bend, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Gary Lynn Gray, Scott Johnson, and Peni Lofland. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Valentine Kramer, Nicholas Kramer, and Ambros Kramer; and three sisters, Katherine Kramer, Dorothy Reed, and Anna Magie. Graveside services will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Golden Belt Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. The Reverend John Grummon will officiate. Friends may call from noon to 9:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials in Mrs. Laughlin's name are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
