Larry A. Reiser, 71, was received into the loving arms of his heavenly Father on August 17, 2011 at his home, Independence, Missouri. He was born July 26, 1940 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Louis E. and Frances M. (Krkosska) Reiser. He married Sue A. Hamill August 26, 1967 at Great Bend. Mr. Reiser had a forty-five year career in public accounting and served on the state level of the Kansas Public Accountants Association. He had a private bookkeeping and tax service for several years. He was chief financial officer for Allen Drilling, Great Bend. He was a lifetime Great Bend resident. Mr. Reiser was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was a Third Degree member of Knights of Columbus and was a member of Elks Lodge #1127, Great Bend, where he held several offices over the years. Survivors include his wife, Sue Reiser, of the home; one son, Mark A. Reiser, St. Charles, Missouri; one daughter, Jennifer A. Reiser, Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, Elmer Reiser and wife Laura, Great Bend; one sister, Jennie Ueckert, Great Bend; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Reiser, Great Bend; and the joy of his life, grandson Ashton Reiser, Kansas City; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Alois Reiser, Ralph Reiser, and Rudy Reiser. Vigil service with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
