Larry Hayes Marshall, 73, died March 28, 2012 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita, Kansas. He was born January 28, 1939 at Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Paul and Opal (Alley) Marshall. He was a 1957 graduate of Ellinwood High School. He married Edith J. Jenkins June 28, 1959 at Garden City, Kansas. She died January 24, 2009. A lifetime Barton and Pawnee County resident, Mr. Marshall was a salesman for Liggett, Myers, Pinkerton Tobacco Company. Following his retirement, Mr. Marshalldelivered the Hutchinson News to western Kansas, managed Marshall's Pit-Stop Barbeque, helped at Young Auto Sales, and went on wrecker calls with his son. Mr. Marshall was a member of the NRA. Survivors include one son, Larry Marshall and wife Sheree, Great Bend; one daughter, Paula Hinds, Ellinwood, Kansas; his English Cocker Spaniel, Snickers; five grandchildren: Joni Hinds, John Paul Hinds, Ona Marshall, Shatlyn Marshall, and Dariane Marshall; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 2, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Adamson officiating. Burial will be in Pawnee Rock Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home.
