Larry W. Jimison, 66, died October 21, 2011 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born October 27, 1944 at Stafford, Kansas, the son of Howard David and Verda Marie (Staley) Jimison. He married Sue Curtis November 24, 1964 at Ellsworth, Kansas. A Great Bend resident for forty-seven years, coming from Lorraine, Kansas, he was water superintendent for the City of Great Bend, working for the water department for forty-seven years. Survivors include his wife, Sue Jimison, of the home; his mother, Verda Jimison, Colby, Kansas; one son, Shane Austin Jimison and his wife Karen, Lowell, Arkansas; one daughter, Stacie Lee Immenschuh and her husband Brian, Great Bend; two brothers: James Jimison and his wife Sherry, New Era, Michigan; and Kyle Jimison and his wife Debbie, Bushton, Kansas; one sister, Cheryl Urbanek and her husband James, Colby, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Dennis Preston, Oakley, Kansas; three grandsons: Kody Clawson and his wife Phylleicia, Ellinwood, Kansas; Kane Clawson, Great Bend; and Payton Jimison, Lowell; and one step-grandson, Colin Immenschuh. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael David Jimison; and one sister, Cathy Marie Preston. Memorial service will be announced at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the CKMC Foundation for the benefit of the Heartland Cancer Center, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
