Kenneth Piland, 67, of Hoisington, Kansas, passed away on May 12, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ken was born in Hoisington, Kansas, on April 2, 1950, the son of Clarence and Dolores Piland. He graduated from Hoisington High School in 1969 and worked on the railroad, in the oil field, and at Larned State Hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and training bird dogs. Ken is survived by his brothers; Randy Piland and Mark Crawford; sons, Cally and Josh Piland; daughters, Amanda and Megan Piland; niece, Jatim Piland; nephews, Justin Piland, John Crawford and Eric Crawford; and grandchildren Zachary, Cally Jr., Rolla, Claira, Jeremiah and Micah.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Clarence Piland and mother, Dolores Estes Crawford.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., June 23, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, Hoisington, with Rev. Reuben Lang 'at and Ron Bailey presiding. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
