Kathrine Louise Ball, 83, died November 25, 2012 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born August 17, 1929 at Atlanta, Kansas, the daughter of Shelton C. and Veatrice (Wakefield) Haworth. She married Dewey Daniel Ball December 15, 1946 at Winfield, Kansas. A Great Bend resident since 1955, coming from Plainville, Kansas, Mrs. Ball was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She, along with her husband, was a beekeeper. Mrs. Ball enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, knitting, and Scrabble. Survivors include her husband Dewey Daniel Ball of the home; two sons: Dewey Dan Ball and his wife Linda, Pawnee Rock, Kansas; and Dale Eugene Ball and his wife Chris, Grove, Oklahoma; one brother, Bart Edward Hawroth, Winfield, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl Louise Turnbow and her husband Russ; one brother, Wayne Haworth; and two sisters, Donita Sullivan and Treva Latta. There will be no services or visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
