Kathleen Lenora "Nuss" Thomas Kathleen Lenora "Nuss" Thomas, 84, died April 2, 2007, at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born December 16, 1922 at Fredonia, Kansas, the daughter of Otto G. and Gladys B. Nichols Smith. She married Richard "Dick" Nuss on February 21, 1941 at Lyons, Kansas. She married Orville "Tom" Thomas, Jr. on May 23, 1969 at Great Bend, Kansas. He died December 5, 2006. A resident of Great Bend most of her life, she was a former clerk for Gibson's Discount Center. She was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Great Bend. Survivors include: one son, Kenneth R. Nuss and wife Vickie of Hutchinson, KS; one daughter, Terry Lee Parrish and husband Gregg, Peoria, AZ; three sisters, Jackie Edging, Camden, IN, Mary Wright, Grover, TX and Betty Jo Griem, Pratt, KS; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Smith and two sisters, Shirley Straub and Patricia Holser. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Elder A. J. Owens and Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 5 at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
