Karen Lou Symank, 61, of Dundee, died April 2, at her home. She was born October 9, 1945 at Great Bend, the daughter of Fred and Thelma Marie Nelson Ridgeway. She married Robert Charles Symank on September 30, 1962 at Denver, Colorado. He died November 30, 1999. She was a certified nurse aide and a social service designee previously working for Great Bend Manor, Cherry Village Nursing Home of Great Bend and Meadowbrook Manor of Larned. She was a resident of Dundee since 1967 coming from Denver, Colorado. Survivors include, her mother, Thelma Ridgeway of Great Bend; one son, Frank Symank, Dundee; two daughters, Robyn Teegerstrom, Boilingbrook, IL and Carolyn Symank, Great Bend; one brother, Wayne Ridgeway, Great Bend; one sister, Marsha Nelson, Denver, CO; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside service will be, Saturday, April 7 at Pawnee Rock Cemetery with the Reverend William F. Johnson officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Karen Symank Expense Fund in care of the funeral home.
