Karen Raye (Brenner) Becker, age 66, died December 10, 2006 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born June 25, 1940 at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Albert Patrick and Adella Mary Machal Brenner. A 1958 graduate of Great Bend High School, Mrs. Becker was a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of Great Bend and a member of the Prince of Peace Parish in St. Rose, St. Rose Altar Society and Delta Theta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi all of Great Bend. Survivors include two sons, Rocky Wayne Becker and fiance, Ivy, of Seward, Kansas, and Rick Dwayne Becker and wife, Johnita, Hutchinson, Kansas; two daughters, Tammy Ann Hayden and husband, Randy, Great Bend, Kansas, and Teri Kay Stephenson and husband, Todd, Hutchinson, Kansas; two sisters, Sheila A. Becker, Great Bend, Kansas, and Barbara J. Moeder, Great Bend, Kansas, fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alberta D. Boxberger. Altar Society Rosary will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. and Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Great Bend, Kansas, with Father Wesley Schawe. Interment will be in Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. A memorial fund in Mrs. Becker's name has been established with the Prince of Peace Parish, the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
