Junalie Ann Leiker, 76, died September 20, 2007, at her home in Great Bend, Kansas. Junalie was born on September 18, 1931 at Visalia, California, the daughter of Harry and Bertha Ross Archer. On August 6, 1965, she married LaVern Leiker at Hill City, Kansas. He survives. She had been a receptionist and assistant for Countryside Veterinary. She also had worked for Big A Warehouse. She was a volunteer for the Great Bend Humane Society and enjoyed motorcylces, bowling, roller skating and fishing. Survivors include her husband, LaVern of the home; one daughter, Karla Cordes and husband, Bill of Lawrence, Kansas and four grandchildren, Josha Schmitt, Shannon Cordes, Easton Cordes and Kaidon Cordes. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky Leiker. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Father Wesley Schawe officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Munjor Cemetery, Munjor, Kansas. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family to receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association or Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice in care of the funeral home.
