Jose Gonzalez Ochoa, 81, died April 9, 2009 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born May 28, 1927 at Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Andres and Francisca (Gonzalez) Ochoa. He married Victoria Garcia. A farmer, he was a resident of Great Bend for seven years, coming from Mexico. Mr. Ochoa was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Victoria Ochoa, Great Bend, Kansas; sons: RiCardo, RoJelio, Mario, Armando, Leopoldo, and Jaime; daughters: Carmela, Reyina, and Cecilia; brothers: Oscar, Esmael, and Rodolfo; sisters: Andrea and Esperansa; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by several sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters. Vigil service will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Floyd McKinney celebrating the mass. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home.
