John Emmett Stansfield, 81, passed away on July 25, 2022, at home in Great Bend, Kan. He was born on November 01, 1940, to Jack & Elsie (McKnight) Stansfield. John was married to Barbara Hall on December 12, 1981, in Freehold, N.J. She survives.

Recently moving to Great Bend from Brown Mills, N.J., he spent most of his work life as a factory worker and self-employed house painter. He was a member of the Elks and VFW Auxillary. John served his country with time spent in the Navy.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Debbie) Stansfield of Great Bend, and John (Linda) Stansfield of Wichita; a daughter, Lynn (Dave) Geis of Clifton, Colo.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Stansfield.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Aneesh Parappanattu presiding.
