John Maynard Little, 55, died March 3, 2011 at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kansas. He was born September 2, 1955 at Hoisington the son of Harold E. and Wilma M. (Lust) Little. A lifetime Hoisington resident, Mr. Little was an oilfield roughneck. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Wilma and Dennis Demel, Hoisington; two sisters: Sheila Thompson, rural St. John, Kansas; and Suzie Little, Hoisington; two brothers: Gary Little, Hoisington; and Craig Little, Lawrence, Kansas; one step-sister, Denise Schreiber, Hoisington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Little and step-brother, Craig Demel. Graveside memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Hoisington Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the John Maynard Little Memorial Fund, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
