Joan Grace Loveland, 77, died October 6, 2010 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born September 25, 1933 at Rural Claflin, Kansas, the daughter of Fritz and Lena (Dressler) Eggers. A Claflin resident since 1953, then living various places in Kansas and Texas, she moved back to Claflin in 2004. She was a retired dental receptionist in Attica, Kansas, and Monahans, Texas. Ms. Loveland was of the Baptist faith and a member of Eastern Star, Claflin and Holyrood, Kansas. Survivors include one son, Mark Loveland and wife Cheryl, Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Jacalyn Palesano and husband Tony, Norman, Oklahoma; one sister, Wanda Haney, Claflin; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Claflin Cemetery. The Reverend Ray Rempel will officiate. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the Salvation Army, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, is in charge of arrangments.
