James E. "Jim" Johnson, 60, died January 2, 2011 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born June 6, 1950 at Alva, Oklahoma, the son of Harold E. and Elaine (Lane) Johnson. A Florissant, Colorado, resident for thirty years, coming from Cave Junction, Oregon, Mr. Johnson owned Jim Johnson's Services. He was a former member of the United Methodist Church, Macksville, Kansas. Survivors include his parents: Harold and Elaine Johnson, Great Bend, Kansas; one sister, Jane Howard, Great Bend; and one nephew, Bart Howard and wife Brooke, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by one nephew, Mason Howard. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Hal Staats officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Hospice House of Hutchinson, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
