Isabella "Issy" Nuss, 90, died March 21, 2013 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born March 2, 1923 at Rush County, Kansas, the daughter of Carl W. and Martha (Tammen) Schneider. She married Vernon L. Nuss June 16, 1946 at Great Bend. He died December 27, 1992. Mrs. Nuss was a lifetime Great Bend resident. Mrs. Nuss was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild for thirty-two years, and Telephone Pioneers. Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Schneider; two sisters, Eleonore Nuss and Dolores Schneider; and devoted family friend, Willie Jones. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend James A. Strasen and Pastor Scott Tempero will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
