Ina Lea Folkerts, 83, died August 9, 2013 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born December 4, 1929 at Craig County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter and Amy Ellen (Cumiford) Minson. She married Doyle Dean Folkerts October 24, 1952 at Syracuse, Kansas. He died January 13, 2013. A fifty-eight year resident of Great Bend, coming from Craig County, Oklahoma, Mrs. Folkerts was a homemaker. Mrs. Folkerts was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend. Survivors include four sons: Greg Wyrick and his wife Cheryl, Grand Lake, Oklahoma; Byron Folkerts and his wife Robin, Derby, Kansas; Randall Folkerts and his wife Mary, Pawnee Rock, Kansas; and Darren Folkerts, of the home; four daughters: Willena Baker, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Karen Johnston, Oswego, Kansas; Lori Ediger and her husband Ron, McPherson, Kansas; and Lisa Cervantes and her husband Joe, Parsons, Kansas; one brother, Walt Minson, Jr., Madres, Oregon; one sister, Edna Barnes, Wister, Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Minson and Robert Minson. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend James A. Strasen officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to Ina Lea Folkerts Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
