Ida Helena Galyardt, 104, died December 29, 2014 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend. Born November 13, 1910 at Russell County, she was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Voos) Voos. She married Dave Galyardt September 7, 1930 at Russell, Kansas. He died January 22, 1986. A Great Bend resident since 1986 coming from Hoisington, Mrs. Galyardt was a homemaker. Mrs. Galyardt was a member of First Assembly of God, Great Bend. Survivors include one son, Jerry Galyardt of La Jolla, California; three daughters: Betty Barnard of Great Bend, Donita Keil of Great Bend and Vonnie Johnston of Fountain Valley, California; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Dave Galyardt; four brothers: Henry Voos, Jake Voos, John Voos, and Ray Voos; and four sisters: Lottie, Lizzie, Eva, and Martha. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Dwight Dozier officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend. Friends may call from noon to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established for First Assembly of God, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
