Helen Mae Standlee, 81, died July 22, 2011 at Ellinwood District Hospital, Ellinwood, Kansas. She was born January 27, 1930 at Wynona, Oklahoma, the daughter of Nathan and Nora (Hearin)Berryhill. She married Kenneth Carl Standlee June 29, 1946 at Hays, Kansas. He died September 11, 2008. Mrs. Standlee had been an Ellinwood, Kansas resident since 1964, coming from Plainville, Kansas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Ellinwood. She enjoyed fishing, garage sales, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two sons: Jerry Standlee and wife Mary of Ellinwood, Kansas and Rick Standlee and wife Jacci of Ellinwood, Kansas; ten grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by son, Curtis Standlee; two brothers, Don Berryhill and Bud Berryhill; two sisters, Opal Berryhill and Erma Reeves; and one grandson, Kenneth M. Standlee. Funeral services for both Kenneth and Helen will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Standlee officiating. Interment will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood, Kansas. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2011 at Bryant Funral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
