Helen Jane Roan Roach, 47, died January 8, 2007 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born January 17, 1959 at Sublette, Kansas, Cloyce A., Sr. and Shirley Lee Williams Conner. She married David D. Roach on June 7, 1991 at Great Bend, Kansas. She was a bartender for Slack's in Great Bend, and had previously worked Menges's Electric, Ellinwood, Kansas, and Great Bend Packing, Great Bend, Kansas. A resident of Ellinwood for fourteen years, she came from Great Bend. Mrs. Roach was a member of the Christian faith, and a member of the Twilighters Bowling Leage of Great Bend, Kansas. Survivors include the husband, David, of the home; mother, Shirley Conner, Medicine Lodge, Kansas; one son, Josh K. Roan, of the home; two daughters, Marsha Standlee and husband, Jayson, Ellinwood, Kansas and Stephanie Roan, Great Bend, Kansas; one brother, Cloyce A. "Butch" Conner, McAllister, Oklahoma; two sisters, Donna Payne, Dover, Oklahoma and Dora Smiley, Shawnee, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Laura, Elizabeth, and Wyatt Standlee, and Deacon and Blake Delgadillo. She was preceded in death by her father, Cloyce A. Conner, and a brother, Jeff Conner. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend Don Paden will officiate. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial fund has been established with the Helen Jane Roan Roach Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
