Dateline: Great Bend, KS Helen E. Morgenstern, 88, died February 11, 2008 at the Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, KS. She was born April 22, 1919 at Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob Margheim and Hannah "Templing" Margheim. On August 23, 1949 Helen Margheim married Luther Morgenstern at Hoisington, Kansas. He survives Helen was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, Kansas. She was a resident of Great Bend since 1994 moving from Hoisington and Galatia. She is survived by her husband, Luther "Lu" Morgenstern of the home. Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Rudolph and Marvin Margheim and a sister, Viola Warner. Funeral service will be held at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 with Pastor James Strasen presiding. Interment will follow in the Hoisington Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Heartland Cancer Center in care of the funeral home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until sertime Friday at the funeral home. The casket will remain closed
