Harlan Edward Foskett, Sr., 87, died December 4, 2009 at Ellsworth County Medical Center, Ellsworth, Kansas. He was born January 22, 1922 at Orleans, Nebraska, the son of George and Mary (Williams) Foskett. He married Goldie Faye Foiles December 13, 1953 at Great Bend, Kansas. She died November 22, 2007. A resident of Lorraine, Kansas, for thirty years, coming from Ellsworth, Mr. Foskett worked for Marlette Coach Co. and later Coachmen. He was United States Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Mr. Foskett was a member of First Nazarene Church, Kingman, Kansas. Survivors include six sons: Harlan Foskett, Jr., Amarillo, Texas; Gary Foskett, Sterling, Kansas; Michael Foskett, Kingman, Kansas; Randall "Red" Foskett, Lyons, Kansas; Keith Foskett, Lorraine, Kansas; and Stanley Foskett, Bazine, Kansas; two daughters: Deborah Berends, Great Bend, Kansas; and Sharon White, Lorraine; one brother, Warren Foskett, Raymore, Missouri; one sister, Emma Brooks, Independence, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Mr. Foskett was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Savage and Julia Parker; and one granddaughter, Kandy White. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend George Redington will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery North with military honors by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home.
