Gordon L. Young, 69, died December 28, 2010 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born March 12, 1941 at Pratt, Kansas, the son of LeRoy Franklin and Phylotis Iona (Chance) Young. He married Donna Jean McGrath March 12, 1961 at Sun City, Kansas. A Great Bend resident since 1966, coming from Pratt, he was a salesman for Log-Tech, Inc. Survivors include his wife, Donna Young, of the home; one son, David LeRoy Young, Eden Prairie, Minnesota; and two grandchildren: Madison Young and Morgan Young. He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Richard Young and one sister, Gayle Branson. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend Dr. Doyle Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at from 9:00 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
