Geneva Elnora Taylor, 92, died January 17, 2007 at Ellinwood District Hospital, Ellinwood, Kansas. She was born the daughter of Asa and Alice Naylor Mecum on August 5, 1914 at Coffeyville, Kansas. She married Clyde Taylor June 5, 1932 at Iola, Kansas. He died in 1962. Mrs. Taylor was a self-employed seamstress, living in Ellinwood since 1946, coming from Bushton, Kansas. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Christian Church in Yates Center, Kansas. Survivors include one daughter, Illeane Petz, Stryker, Montana; one granddaughter, Cameron Wilson; and two great-grandsons, Damon Cooper and Jarrett Plunkett. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Mecum. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 22, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood, Kansas. The Reverend William F. Johnson, with First Christian Church, Great Bend, Kansas, will officiate. Friends may call at Bryant Funeral Home from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2007.
