Frances Marie Cook, 85, died June 18, 2010 at Gretna Community Living Center, Gretna, Nebraska. She was born December 21, 1924 at Hoisington, Kansas, the daughter of Francis J. and Ada Josephine (Taylor) Kingston. She worked for FH&B Contracting as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Cook lived in Gretna one year, coming from Great Bend. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both of Great Bend. Survivors include one son, David Cook and wife Kay, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters: Patsy Johnson and husband Randall, Hutchinson, Kansas; and Donna Allen-Cover and husband Craig, Omaha, Nebraska; nine grandchildren: Jason Cook, Tulsa; Joshua Cook, Tulsa; Emmalee Cook, Tulsa; Mark Stoecker, Tuba City, Arizona; Stephanie Wood, Kansas City, Missouri; Steve Stoecker, Paola, Kansas; Cade Allen, Omaha; Casey Allen, Omaha; and Cale Allen, Omaha; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Kingston; and two sisters, Mary Maude Dirks and Ruth Smith. Altar Society Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home. Vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2010 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Peter Fernandez will be celebrant. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home.
