Floyd Arno "Buck" Malone, 50, died December 8, 2007 at his home, Great Bend, Kansas. Buck was born on July 3, 1957, at Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of L. D. and Carol Lea Sell Malone. He was a resident of Great Bend since 1979 coming from Coffeyville, Kansas. Buck was a floorhand for Thunderbird Drilling and had been a roustabout for other companies. He was of the Christian faith. Survivors include a son, Seth Malone of Rogers, Arkansas; a daughter, Rebecca Esquibel of Topeka, Kansas; his parents, L. D. and Carol Malone of Mulberry, Kansas; three brothers, Robert Malone of Oklahoma, Tom Malone of Great Bend, Kansas and John Malone of Pittsburg, Kansas; three sisters, Liz Malone of Oologah, Oklahoma, Judy Hicks of Nowata, Oklahoma and Shannon Long of Pittsburg, Kansas; and a grandson, Connor Esquibel. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, Kansas. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Buck Malone Funeral Expense Fund in care of the funeral home.
