Fern I. Tuzicka, 89, died November 2, 2014 at Wheatlands Health Care Center, Kingman, Kansas. She was born August 8, 1925 at Russell County, Kansas, the daughter of Henry H. and Katy (Bender) Berschauer. She married Albert E. Tuzicka April 27, 1942 at Russell, Kansas. He died April 4, 1998. A homemaker and farm wife, Mrs. Tuzicka was a Hoisington resident since 1999, coming from Otis, Kansas. Mrs. Tuzicka was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Otis, where she was active in the church choir and women's activities. She also enjoyed quilting and playing the piano. Survivors include two daughters: Darlene Moore, Hoisington; and Sharon Wilson and her husband Lynn, Goddard, Kansas; six grandchildren, Nathan Wilson, Troy Wilson, Jeff Moore, Stacy Moore, Robin Barrett, and Steffaney Kerschen; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Art Berschauer; three sisters, Lorraine Cross, Doris Steinert, and Marian Schultz; and one son-in-law, Leonard Moore. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Otis, with Pastor Bruce Adamson officiating. Burial will be in Otis Lutheran Cemetery, Otis. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at NIcholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Wheatlands Care Center or Rivercross Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
