Fae Amerine, 94, died May 27, 2012 at Colorado Assisted Living, Parker, Colorado. She was born October 29, 1917 at Thornfield, Missouri, the daughter of Samuel Gordon and Alice Ruby (McAllister) Doss. She married Earl Marion Amerine July 5, 1936 at Lyons, Kansas. He died March 10, 2011. A resident of Parker, previously living many years in Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada, moving from Great Bend in 1957, Mrs. Amerine was a homemaker. Mrs. Amerine was a member of Shadow Hills Baptist Church, Las Vegas. Survivors include four sons: Jerry Amerine, Rockport, Texas; Don Amerine and his wife Anne, Agoura Hills, California; Dennis Amerine and his wife Kirsti, Colville, Washington; and Dale Amerine and his wife Mona, Denver, Colorado; two daughters: Janice Hudgins and her husband Gene, Temple, Texas; and Lisa Eskew and her husband Bill, Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Phyllis Parsons, Newbury Park, California; seventeen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Shepard, Loraine Strader, and Naomi Sams. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. Pastor Sandy Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call from noon to 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home.
