Eugene D. Bentley, 86, died January 17, 2011 at Wichita, Kansas. He was born May 8, 1924 at Towanda, Kansas, the son of Fred and Ethel (Stockwell) Bentley. He married Mary Jane Brigham October 26, 1949 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She died February 4, 2009. A Wichita resident since 1968, coming from Indiana. Mr. Bentley was of the Christian faith. Survivors include one son, Steven R. Bentley and wife, Suzie, Lawton, Oklahoma; one daughter: Marsha B. Scott and husband Gerard, Wichita; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Bentley. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to service time Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Wichita Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
