Esther (Luft) Pedigo, 97, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Bickford Cottage in Ames, Iowa. She was born May 31, 1912 in Otis, Kansas, to Henry and Lydia (Moore) Luft. She attended grade school in Great Bend, Kansas. She married Bruce Preston Pedigo on May 29, 1932 in Great Bend, Kansas, where they lived until moving to Ames in December, 1997. She worked at St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend, Kansas, and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Great Bend, and Ames. She is survived by her son, Larry (Lois) Pedigo of Ames; grandson, Bruce Pedigo and his three children, of Chicago; and granddaughter, Brenda Cloyd, and her two children, of Ames. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 18, 1999; sister, Alice Green; and brothers, Milton, Herman, and Victor Luft. Memorials may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10, from 4 to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 11 at 10:00 a.m. at the Great Bend Cemetery, with Rev. Dick Ogle officiating.
