Emma E. Klima, 89, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family December 18, 2010. She was born March 28, 1921 at Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Hattie K. (Houska) Sulc. She married Dale J. Klima June 24, 1947 at Ellsworth, Kansas. A lifetime Barton County resident, Mrs. Klima was a custodian at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Great Bend. Survivors include one son, Dale C. Klima and wife Chris, Great Bend, Kansas; two daughters: Marilyn J. Dunham and husband Steve, Great Bend; and Judy A. Triplett and husband Ron, Great Bend; six grandchildren: Deena Smith, Great Bend; Kelly Klima, Derby, Kansas; Danny Dunham, Des Moines, Iowa; Stacy Sanders, Great Bend; Marcy Scheffe, Andover, Kansas; and Travis Triplett, Mustang, Oklahoma; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene Alsup; two brothers, Leo Sulc and Infant Frank Sulc; and four sisters: Eva Renc, Rosie Sulc, Hattie Aveman, and Josephine Sulc. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at Bryant Funeral Home. The Reverend John Grummon will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2010 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.
