Elton E. Massey, 87, died October 21, 2007 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born October 4, 1920 at Lyons, Kansas, the son of Frank and Mary Longfellow Massey. He married Elsie M. Wheatcroft August 15, 1942 at Great Bend, Kansas. Mr. Massey was a route driver for Rainbow Bread. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Massey was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, American Legion Argonne Post 180, and Lake Barton Golf Club, all of Great Bend. Surviving Mr. Massey are his wife, Elsie, of the home; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church, Great Bend. Pastor Dwight D. Dozier will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call at Bryant Funeral Home from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2007. A memorial in Mr. Massey's name has been established with First Assembly of God Church, in care of the funeral home.
