Elsie Mildred Massey, 86, died February 23, 2008 at Pioneer Manor, Hugoton, Kansas. She was born December 14, 1921 at Pendennis, Kansas, the daughter of Glen L. and Olive Russell Wheatcroft. She married Elton Edwin Massey August 15, 1942 at Great Bend, Kansas. He died October 21, 2007. A resident of Great Bend since 1958, coming from Redwing, Kansas, Mrs. Massey was a homemaker. Mrs. Massey was a member of First Assembly of God, Great Bend. Survivors include one brother, Glen L. Wheatcroft, Jr., Liberal, Kansas; many nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Kenneth Wheatcroft. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 25, 2008 at First Assembly of God, Great Bend, with Pastor Dwight Dozier officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery.
