Elizabeth N. Wirtz, 82, died October 18, 2008 at her Great Bend, Kansas, residence. She was born January 26, 1926 at Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Lester E. and Dale (Hubbard) Bilyew. She married Jerome Wirtz in February 1975 at Ellinwood, Kansas. He died January 20, 1982. A resident of Great Bend since 1974, coming from Ellinwood, Mrs. Wirtz was a secretary and bookkeeper. Survivors include one son: John Tindall, Lake City, Florida; two daughters: Linda Oberle, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Carolyn Tindall, Great Bend, Kansas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Cloyd Bilyew and one sister, Geneva Ebel. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Hoisington Cemetery, Hoisington, Kansas. Pastor John Grummon will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
