Elizabeth Jane Vohs, 93, died August 27, 2010 at an Assisted Living Home in Andover, Kansas. She was born in Parsons, Kansas March 7, 1917 and lived most of her adult life in Iola and Hoisington, Kansas where she and her husband Bob were in the insurance and real estate business. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Heritage Club, Cheyenne E.H.U., Altrurian Club and Civic Club. She also delivered Meals on Wheels and was active at the Hoisington Food Bank. One of the things she loved, was camping and fishing with her husband, Bob, and her family on Grand Mesa in Western Colorado. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob, her parents, a sister Elsie Cadmus and brother David Cadmus. She is survived by two children, Carol (Gerald) and Bob (Donna), a sister, Lucille Larsen, a sister-in-law Ramona Cadmus, four grandchildren (Jeff, Denise, Tricia and Derek) plus four great grandchildren (Megan, Faith, Athena and Aimery). Also surviving are many friends, neighbors, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 on Friday, September 3, 2010, at the Hoisington Cemetery by the Reverend Don Fisher. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Hoisington Food Bank.
