E. Wayne Vanaman, age 59, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Great Bend Regional Hospital in Great Bend. Wayne was born on Saturday, February 14, 1953 in Great Bend, Kansas to Ernest Junior & Marian (Davies) Vanaman. Wayne married Heather E. Harris August 18, 2000, in Great Bend. A lifetime Great Bend resident, Wayne was a roughneck and plumber. Wayne was preceded in death by brother Michael Vanaman. He is survived by Wife: Heather E. Vanaman, of the home; two sons: Ryan Vanaman of Lamont, OK, and Mark Vanaman of Great Bend, KS; one daughter, Ashley Vanaman of Great Bend, KS; one sister, Diana McGinty of Great Bend, KS; one brother, Tom Vanaman and wife Sandy of Lamont, OK; numerous nieces nephews and friends A Memorial Service will be held on January 1, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Street Church of God in Hoisington, KS, with the Rev. Dick Ogle presiding. A memorial fund has been established to the E. Wayne Vanaman Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
