Dorothy C. Welsch, 92, died May 2, 2008 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born November 4, 1915 at Edwards County, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Mabel May Monoghan. She married Monroe Welsch April 20, 1936 at Radium, Kansas. He died in 1980. A homemaker, Mrs. Welsch was a Great Bend resident since 2000, coming from Trousdale. Mrs. Welsch was of the Christian faith. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Nutting and husband, Larry, Great Bend; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Welsch, Osage City, Kansas; one niece, Areminta Starkey, Valley, Washington; three grandchildren, Troy Welsch, Larned, Kansas, Mark Welsch, Pratt, Kansas, and Lori Katz, Wichita, Kansas; two step-grandchildren, Debra Keller, Osage City, Kansas; and Lori Dishman, Osage City, Kansas; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Welsch and Darrell Welsch; and one grandson, Brian Welsch. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2008 at Fellsburg Cemetery, Fellsburg, Kansas. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday May 4, 2008 and from 9:00 a.m. to noon, Monday, May 5, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home.
