Donna J. Rhoads, 69, died November 26, 2007 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born August 5, 1938 at Goodland, Kansas, the daughter of William and Mabel Pratt Rhoads. Ms. Rhoads was a door greeter at Wal-mart. She was a resident of Great Bend for three years, coming from Hays, Kansas, formerly of Goodland, Kansas. Ms. Rhoads was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Goodland, Kansas. Survivors include one daughter, Deneyce Ackerman and husband, David, Great Bend, Kansas; one sister, Barbara Gard and husband Richard, Nampa, Idaho; and two grandchildren, Emma and Cooper Ackerman. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. MST, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Goodland, Kansas, with Pastor Ted Amos officiating. Inurnment will be at Goodland Cemetery, Goodland, Kansas. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to help with Donna's expenses, in care of the funeral home.
