Donna Colleen Peterson-Mellott, 87, passed away at her home in Great Bend, September 11, 2018.  She was born on December 24, 1930 at Wichita, to Howard and Hazel (Maloney) Little. She married Edward N. Peterson in 1951. They later divorced and he passed away on January 28, 2009.  She then married Earl Mellott in 1995 at Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away on March 26, 1999.

Having lived previously in Great Bend from 1974-1995 and in Wichita from 1995-2015, Donna was a Great Bend resident since 2015. She was a homemaker and a nanny for the Marvin Johnston family for several years. She loved to cook and bake, was a dog lover and rode horses when she was a young girl. Donna always pointed out the nice pick-up trucks she loved.

Survivors include, three sons, Mark E. Peterson and wife Lisa, Edward H. and Kenneth D. Peterson, both of Wichita; three grandchildren, Audra Cross of Great Bend, Justin Peterson of Hutchinson and Taylor Cornelson and husband Isaac of Edmond, Oklahoma, and two great-grandchildren, Amaya and Mason Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Earl Mellott.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Great Bend Cemetery North , with Pastor Larry Schumacher presiding.  The family suggests memorials to the Donna Peterson-Mellott Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
