Donald Ray Mlynar, 63, died December 2, 2009 at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kansas. He was born July 18, 1946 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Raymond and Virginia (Miller) Mlynar. He was an oilfield roughneck and was a lifetime Barton County resident. Survivors include one son, Gregg Mlynar, Larned, Kansas; his mother, Virginia Bohatch, Hutchinson, Kansas; his companion, Cindy Schetrom, Galatia, Kansas; one brother, Gerald Mlynar, Salt Lake City, Utah; three sisters: Joyce Stevens, Iuka, Kansas; Kristy Jantz, Hutchinson, Kansas; and Virginia "Siss" Tonn, Haven, Kansas. He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Ray Mlynar, Jr. Graveside funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2009 at Hoisington Cemetery. The Reverend Don Fisher will officiate. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Clara Barton Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
