Donald P. Kaiser, 77, died May 7, 2009 at his Great Bend, Kansas, residence. He was born November 18, 1931 at Odin, Kansas, the son of Joseph F. and Mary (Meyeres) Kaiser. He married Anna "Janell" Fisher May 10, 1958 at Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend most of his life, Mr. Kaiser was a pumper and truck driver for Stone Sand Company for more than thirty years. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. Mr. Kaiser was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, American Legion Argonne Post 180, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111, all of Great Bend. Survivors include his wife, Janell Kaiser, of the home; two sons: Dale Kaiser, Kansas City, Kansas; and Devin Kaiser and wife, Kristie, Hoisington, Kansas; one daughter, Donna Fisher and husband, Robert, Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Louis Kaiser, Colorado Springs, Colorado; one sister, Lucille Beck, Claflin, Kansas; and three grandchildren: Mackenzie Kaiser, Trevor Kaiser, and Anneka Fisher. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leo Kaiser, Robert Kaiser, and Richard Kaiser; and one infant sister, Mary Kaiser. Vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Floyd McKinney will be celebrant. Burial with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home.
