Don Carroll, 68, died November 5, 2014 at his home, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born January 14, 1946 at Parsons, Kansas, the son of James E. and Anna E. (Hess) Carroll. He married Nancy Lee Steinert January 16, 1971 at Great Bend. A Great Bend resident since 1971, coming from Ellinwood, Mr. Carroll worked for EQ Muffler, Great Bend Industries and Westside 66. Mr. Carroll was of the Catholic faith and attended First United Methodist Church, Great Bend. Survivors include his wife Nancy Lee Carroll, of the home; one son, John Carroll and his wife Kitt, Lawrence, Kansas; one daughter, Jaime Harms and her husband Brant, Great Bend; and four grandchildren, Kassidy Harms, Audrie Harms, Melanie Carroll, and Madeline Carroll. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Carroll. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Great Bend. Pastor Don Paden will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
