Debbie D. Depperschmidt, 56, died July 1, 2013 at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born November 22, 1956 at Parkston, South Dakota, the daughter of Marvin and Geraldine (Bergeson) Dykstra. She married Mark Depperschmidt November 26, 1997 at Great Bend. A Great Bend resident since 1981, coming from Mitchell, South Dakota, Mrs. Depperschmidt was a homemaker. She was a Girl Scout leader and a tumbling instructor at Euphoria Dance Centre. Survivors include her husband, Mark Depperschmidt, of the home; her mother, Geraldine Dykstra-Huss, Franklin, Wisconsin; one son, Mark Depperschmidt II and his wife Shayla, Harper, Kansas; four daughters: Sara Ehler and her husband Micah, Hoisington, Kansas; Anne Givens and her husband Robert, Stockton, Kansas; Jewelia Depperschmidt, Great Bend; and Jennifer Wendel and her husband Lucas, Garden City, Kansas; two brothers: Steve Dykstra, Franklin, Wisconsin; and Doug Dykstra and his wife Colleen, Pinetop, Arizona; ten grandchildren: Chandra Ehler, Micayla Ehler, Zachary Gardner, Keely Gardner, Ryleigh Gardener, Kaylee Depperschmidt, Layton Depperschmidt, Addison Depperschmidt, Jaycob Wendel, and Logun Wendel; two step-brothers: Bruce Huss, Wichita, Kansas; and John Lampe and his wife Lenora, Great Bend; and one step-sister, Jill Herold, Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Dykstra; her step-father, Orville Huss; and one sister, Lori Dykstra. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 5, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation. Memorials are requested to Euphoria Dance Centre or Jewelia Depperschmidt Education Fund, in care of the funeral home.
