David Waller Weathers, 66, died November 3, 2007, at his home in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born on December 18, 1940, at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Herman and Josephine Waller Weathers. David worked for the Ford Motor Company in the parts records department. He retired in January 2000. He was a resident of Great Bend since 2000 coming from Norwalk, California. He was a member of the First United Congregational United Church of Christ of Great Bend. Survivors include a son, Michael Weathers of Downey, California; a step-son, Tony Watts of Kern County, California; a step-daughter, Tammy Pahel of Corona, California; a brother, Tom Weathers of Alton, Illinois; two sisters, Virginia Schneider of Roseburg, Oregon and Jane Warnken of Hutchinson, Kansas and four step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2007, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Great Bend with Pastor Diana Coberly officiating. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas with Military Honors conducted by the United States Air Force. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to First Congregational United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
