David Dean Seyfert, 39, died March 23, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1971 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Dale D. and Shirley R. (Smith) Seyfert. A Great Bend resident for twenty years, coming from the farm north of Claflin, he was a small engine repairman for Carr Auto and Electronics. He was of the Christian faith. His hobbies were working on mowers, chainsaws, or any small engine repairs. Survivors include four uncles: Don Seyfert, Colby, Kansasj; Ivan Seyfert, Salina, Kansas; Kenneth Seyfert, Hoisington, Kansas; and Gary Smith, Hutchinson, Kansas; and one aunt. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; and two uncles, Gene Seyfert and Alvin Seyfert. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with the Reverend Gene Langhofer officiating. Burial will be in Claflin Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2011 and from 9:00 a.m. to service time Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
